Greetings all,

I've been trying to upgrade from AC 0.71 to 1.0 for a while now. Only have time to work on it here and there as migrating the database has become a real issue. After trying numerous imports and them always failing on numerous elements (everything from comments to milestones) I finally tracked down the issue tonight:

Failures occur if trying to import elements (posts, comments, milestones, tasks, etc.) that were created by a user who has since been deleted.

I've found a work-around. I have to go into the ac 0.71 database and manually 're-create' a dummy user utilizing the table `user` with an ID that corresponds to the ID originally used to create the elements. And then, assign them to the appropriate project by creating a dummy entry in `project_users`.

After doing this (which can be time consuming if you've deleted a lot of users) I've finally imported the project.

The problem is now that any posts, comments, etc originally created by that user now show up in 1.0 with the default address of the first listed user in the database (either that, or the admin user e-mail address, I can't tell).

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to 1) streamline this process and/or 2) make it more efficient. Any other comments are welcome too. Thanks!
