Obviously it was something about IIS and you should look for the problem there, because activeCollab has nothing to do with system permissions.

SOLVED! Well sort of -- I copied the AC files to a new subdirectory using windows explorer on the box and changed the config file and no login is required and no input file errors either... working great....

I still don't know why the permissions was required for the other directory.

We have just installed AC and have two challenges which may be linked?

1. When we go to the login page we have to first pass windows authentication (the web site at the root is visible with no login but not the AC login page - and I see in IIS that this AC install is a virtual directory - the little gear icon)

2. Once we give it a windows login we are able then to login and move to many pages within AC -- HOWEVER sometimes as we move from page to page we get the No Input File Specified error....

Running PHP and MYSQL. Suggestions? Is this a path error in the config.php file or caused by permissions that need to be changed.
