Here is a screenshot of this feature. Tasks that have time tracked have full color clock icon, tasks that don't have a gray icon. When you click it dialog opens where you can see how much time has been already tracked and you have a form (if you have the permissions of course) to add time to the log. 100% AJAX, no need to leave the page.

Just one of those things that make your life a bit easier - you instantly know that time is tracked for a specific item and you don't need to open new pages to see how much time has been tracked or to add time to the log. It's right there for you to use it.

With time you'll see more and more tools like this added to the system. We are officially declaring a war to clicks and page loads, but that's something for versions after activeCollab 1.1. For now you can see what we have in mind here, in attachments section, multi file upload tool etc. Things will get really interesting in the future, trust me ;-)

Thanks Ilija :)

Beta installed, and it is awesome! First impressions:

- Admin area is much cleaner and easier to use,
- Time widget is very useful
- Thumbnails of image files is perfect, makes managing lots of images a lot easier
- Printing of each page is much easier

Only been playing for a bit, and already really happy with the new stuff!

Cant wait for 1.2! :p

I'm really looking forward to the thumbnail feature. Wish I had time to install and play with the Beta. As it is, I'll just go on updates here for now. Thanks pdiki!

I am pretty convinced 1.1 will bring a lot of attention to aC to those who might have hesitated before. This is something to really capitalize on marketing wise...
I know I'll be promoting this tool to quite a bunch of people...

Not only is this more mature (permission are really consistent now, but so are a lot of small details that make a lot of difference for pros), but feature wise it bundles a great GUI with a somewhat unique combination of features (time tracking is now awesome !). I am almost done localizing ac 1.1, I'll get rid of the hacked views I had to fight with with 1.0.x and that means a lot of new users potentially !

One thing to remember is BaseCamp doesn't seem to be interrested by non english users (how wrong that move is I can't believe it...). I have seen that a BaseCamp importer and a Chat module is in the works (yeah, those translation files are giving away some things ;D ) : great !

I am very glad I went for the Corporate version, really !
The best way to predict the future is to invent it

I bought the Corporate version myself. The way I see it is that it will pay for itself in a matter of a few months over subscribing to BaseCamp.

I've now been using aC 1.0.6 for a few weeks and find that I'm not missing BaseCamp too much at all, once I got used to a slightly different way of doing things and seeing my information.

Great update Ilija! We are already at the point we wonder how we ever got anything done without aC. It's a GREAT tool for our shop. Looking forward to the stable 1.1, but will try to get a beta version installed soon to provide feedback.

One quick comment on the time feature - it would be very valuable if billable/non billable time was listed separately, along with a total. One click AJAX access to time is a huge improvement (and a pleasant surprise!) - but I need to know the billable total, not just the non-billable total. Hopefully you'll consider adding that extra bit of information.

Thanks, and again - great update!

We are really glad that you like the changes. Thanks everyone for provided feedback, we already know about some problems with the system that we missed and need to cover. If you find anything, just let us know.

These are just experiments. We have them working to some extent, but far from ready to be part of the stable build and supported. While we've invested curtain amount of time in these modules I really cannot guarantee you when they will be available, if ever.

Regarding v1.1, other things like permissions and localization seamed more important so we focused on that...

Hi There Ilija.

Big Thanx for the 1.1 beta version. I have it installed locally and i'm already testing it out. So i will be reporting the bugs through the support area.
The new time widget looks and works very nice.

Again, Big Thanx.

Good luck with finishing 1.1

Thanks for the time widget screen shot Ilija! Looks great and helps me to understand more about it! :)

To be honest I was hoping for a 'start/stop' function integrated into the timer, but this is already a huge improvement on the 1.0.x version.. again, thanks for the screen shot and it's great to hear there are more enhancements to come!
