Wohooo... that is so cool! I ordered an iphone two weeks ago. Now just get 1.1 done ;)

Ilija Studen:
We had screenshots prepared for a blog post but I never got to writing it. I'll see to find some time during this week (finally in development state where I can spend more time in Pages than in code editor).

Goran used iPhone development guidelines when he was working on the interface. There was no reason to reinvent the wheel and introduce yet another look and feel. Only "different" thing is the menu, but it looks really cool if you ask me.

@kthomas: We'll check it out, sorry.

Thanks for sharing and posting the screenshots before the blog post! Much appreciated.. The interface looks great and can't wait to try it out... nice work Goran and aC team.

Hi All - is the iPhone interface read-only or can we create tickets etc from there?

I was adding and creating things from the iPhone, viewing attached files, etc.

Specialized mobile interface supports only commenting, but not creation of other types.

We made this decision because of current complexity of creation form and limitations of mobile platforms and we'll most probably revisit it in the future, but at the moment you cannot create or edit objects through /m interface.

You used Mobile Safari to access activeCollab classic, screen interface. In v1.1 we added a special interface optimized for small screens and low bandwidth.

And to think I was using aC as an example of iPhone conversion to a former HP exec today (while selling him, of course!).

His point was he needed his sales guys & gals to be able to show anything on his sites to someone on an iPhone(-sized) device, so... FWIW.

But ticket creation on iPhone... yeah complex... but ... um... for those of us attached at the hip to a laptop for the past 27 years or so [http://www.pcworld.com/printable/article/id,132605/printable.html]... it would be nice to be able to walk around with a smaller prosthetic appendage...

Oh, that just brought back memories of CP/M... and doing a full disassembly of the HX-20 after spilling tea with honey in it, and having it invaded by ants, in the high desert of Deep Springs Valley...

Could somebody help me to find the Status module (Adds twitter-like functionality to activecollab)? I installed it in admin panel, but don't know how to use/find it.

@Ilija
I use the corporate version and installed the checklist-module. How can I deinstall it again? For other modules (not system modules) an option "Uninstall this module" is provided.

@River: you have to give a class of users (like admins) the permission to use it, and then it should appear in the header section. YMMV, I haven't gotten it to function.

The Status module is controlled with permissions. Go to Admin->Roles and you'll have to add permission for each Role you desire to use the Status module.

You can also uninstall Checklists in Admin->Modules->Checklists.

Status module adds a new system permissions. You need to go to Administration -> Roles and set witch roles can use Status module.

You are not the first who expected it just to work without jumping through additional hoops so we definitly need to better communicate this. Permission is there to let you better control your communication process and access to your data, but we need to tell you that new permission is added and that you need to update roles.

What is the problem? You use activeCollab 1.0.6 Corporate, upgraded and now cannot uninstall Checklists module? Or?

With v1.1 only modules that cannot be uninstalled are system, resources and milestones. Any other module can be uninstalled and optionally completely removed from /activecollab/application/modules folder.
