From our experience problem avatar uploads is usually resulted with:

1. GD extension not being available. Check with your hosting provider or system administrator to see if you have GD available.

2. Folder permissions. Make sure that /work, /public/avatars, /public/logos and /public/projects_icons are writable by PHP.

If this does not help or you need assistance please create as an account in your setup and send us FTP login parameters to support@a51dev.com so we can check.

PS: Just a followup to this tread - activeCollab 1.1 and later work around open_basedir restriction when working with logos, avatars and icons.

now I know why I can't upload any icon (project icon, avatars, etc.). Uploading files and images works well.

I see error open_basedir restriction in effect. Function for uploading files on project use move_uploaded_file but functions for icons and avatars not :'(

Is any way how to fix it?

Please, help.

Yes I have GD extension, I am sure. Before buy ActiveCollab I used ActiveCollab 0.7.1 and logos&avatars worked for me (after some change in PHP code because of base restriction effect or what).
