I am asking since we paid for the logo removal service so we can display our own company logo and the PRO sits next to our company logo, which isn't correct in that context.

Yes, it is the first third party theme for v1.1 made available to the community. However, I've seen a lot of setups where people put a lot of effort in customizing the look of the application to match their visual identity, website etc.
