Set due date for Ticket in Quick Add

I'm using Ticket as my Todo list, such as "send invoice", "send revised quotation" etc that take at most an hour or two to accomplish. If I use Milestones I would probably jam up my iCal with rows of milestones for a typical day.
For that matter I really hope to be able to set due date when using Quick Add to add new Tickets. Is this a valid request?
