This services are for people who want installation or upgrade completely handled by us. All we need are FTP and database connection parameters and we'll have activeCollab installed or upgraded for you.

Just to point out:
1. It's $49 per intervention and credits can be purchased form our online store. Go to View Licenses page of your activeCollab.com profile section and click on Buy more link in "Installation/Upgrade Credits" section:

2. We will not make installation / upgrade harder just to make a quick $ through this service. We'll work really hard in the future to make installation / upgrade as easy as possible, but we want to help customers who don't have time or technical knowledge to continuously upgrade and install the software. $49 is there just to cover our expenses.
3. People who install or upgrade activeCollab by themselves get free support as part of their yearly support plan. If you get stuck you don't need to pay us - we are there to help. You only need to pay if you want everything handled by us.
4. This covers only installation and upgrade. Software customization, server configuration and similar services are not included!

Hi Illija, can we get some kind of commitment that upgrades will not be more frequent than strictly necessary? I find the updates quite frequent already and I can imagine this new service might tempt you to have even more frequent updates. I'd be glad to hear a proposal from your side.

Here are the facts:
1. Our core business is not setting up activeCollab, but building software and provide support that is so good that people actually want to buy it.
2. activeCollab is young and currently our only product. We like to work on it and see it grow. Hopefully, you like that too.
3. Every release burns a lot of time - making it complete, testing, packing, announcing, supporting people who are upgrading, collecting feedback, fixing bugs. While we like bringing better software to our customers we want to keep it distributed over time to keep our sanity and not burn out too fast :)
4. Installation / upgrade services are introduced so we can assist people who don't have time or technical knowledge to keep the system up to date and want a professional to have it handled with minimal downtime.
5. If we offered installation / upgrade for free we would be doing that all day long. It's just not possible.
