Just a little kick to this topic, still with all new versions I don't understand why for instance time is invested in a module for invoicing or svn integration when it is not possible to plan a descent project. And you can only invoice the time you spend on a project instead of the time estimated.

I would definnitely agree with this - the system tends to be good from a high level but when you really have a heavy project this can be limited. as a project manager it would be great to be able to generate a list of whose working on what. Right now you can't do that because the filters only show if a person is assigned and not just responsible.

I thought that a better calender and task creation would be available in 1.1, but i'm a bit dissapointed.
I also don't understand why AC is a very cool product and has so much possibilities, but has no decent project planning.
Planning is the most import part of project management and there is nothing decent in AC to keep multiple projects and tasks on track.

Why can't I do something as basic as putting a meeting in my calender.

In every agency I have worked, all tasks have a date, time to start, time to be completed and estimated time to complete.
But I can not see when a task needs to be completed. When I have 10 tasks on the same day. There is no priority.

In a real world everybody needs to tell your client, when his task will be done. Not "oh your site will be ready probably in the morning". No client accepts that, so you make an agreement with the client that his website will be ready at 1pm.

My feature request for AC would be:

* The possibility to give all milestones, tickets / tasks a start time and due time. (intervals of 15 minutes are good enough)
* The possibility to give all milestones, tickets / tasks a time estimate.
* The possibility to give all milestones, tickets / tasks a time record (timerecord linked)
* The possibility to see these tasks with time in your calender.
* The possibility to export your calender or project to a timeline chart. like a gantt chart. (ideal for bigger projects over longer time)

If AC would have a decent calender, the project manager at my company would use it immediately, And I digg AC.
So please, please, please improve the calender / planning in a next version!

Thanks, I'm open for a discussion and willing to supply more details concerning project planning if requested
