Hi all,
I really like the backup plugin and there are a few options I'd like to see:
1 Replace the spaces in folder names with underscores. it make it a bit easier when writing scripts and more compatible
2 Generate zip files of the backup
3 An option to select where to store the backups

All of that can be done with a simple shell script.
Problem are PHP limitations - directory access limitations, problems with high memory consumption when zipping a lot of data etc. Shell does not have any of these limitations and you can use it to have a solution fully optimized for your needs.
