We are all get used with RSS feeds applied to projects.
However, dotProject has a feature much nice, email notifications for each activity. With all details in message body.
On my aC installation everyone is complaining about this missing feature. We switched from aC and now all Admins are complaining about this feature missing here, time spent to follow all activity is probably 5 times bigger on aC than on older dotProject.
We do plan to improve notifications system, but there are no plans to make it send all activities any time soon. Goal is to have only emails that are related to you sent, not all of them.
Still, if you want to receive an email about any activity in the system there are many RSS to email services available.
RSS link include authentication information so your user is automatically authenticated. Technically, RSS and iCalendar is accessed through API and that is why it is required for API to be at least read only for this to work.
Using normal email clients with RSS capability (Thunderbird by example) always is displayed login page, not page with details for ticket/discussion, aso.
Btw, i'we seen lot of support requests requiring tickets/discussions/aso sent to email and with replies working directly from email.
I think this is the most widely requested facility.
Reason for this is to save lot of time, and to have system work simpler. Not everyone are tech people so they get quickly used with aC system.
And TIME is essential for a project manager... Make activity details to be read directly into email body and reply directly by email. Saves time and makes using aC much easier !

It is something similar on aC or is planned ?
