I think i asked asked the question backwards. I was trying to ask if there were ANY planning or colaboration software (that have gantt chats) that can import into activecollab or plugins that can do the same.

Regarding the API, HTTP is transport protocol and HTML and JSON are format in which information is exchanged. These are open standards, but application which communicates with activeCollab needs to be designed to trigger specific actions and process responses in a specific way. Simply put, this means that applications do not have ability to communicate with activeCollab simply by being able to send request using HTTP, they need to implement the API.
I am not aware that there is application which can extract data from activeCollab and display it in Gannt chart view.

i have a fairly simple question, we just purchased activecollab, we're looking for "any" planning software (preferably low cost) with a gantt view, that can export and be imported into activecollab.

or am i correct in saying that any project planing software that can export in "XML or JSON through HTTP" will be able to be imported into activecollab? if so can anyone please answer this first Q.

thankyou\

PURPOSE-
- im near ready to assemble a 1yr project that involves about 18 people and need a an overview (from a management perspective) in terms of a gantt chart. Any help will be extremely appreciated. i was hoping to view it first as a gantt chart to assess manpower, resources, and time restrictions. And then import all, or each phase into activecollab as were ready to preform the work as a team.
