Today we are announcing activeCollab 2.1.2, next release in 2.1 branch. This is a bug fix and compatibility release. The most important issues that it covers are:

1. Safari 4 compatibility problem and
2. Errors with automatic link conversion in posts.

That's not all. There is a release notes article with full list of changes, as usual. Installation and upgrade instructions are also available.

Upgrade is strongly recommended! Thanks!

Hi Ilija, since I'm trying activecollab and extended the trial, I'd like to know how does the upgrade works. I can see the trial still is in 2.1.1

Will it upgrade automatically?

Thanks.

We'll update the demo on Monday. We'll have everything arranged and the upgrade will be done without any need for you to get involved.

Thanks for the update.. quite few things runs faster now.. I was wondering when you gonna link assignments properly to their parents (i.e. Project>Ticket>Check list item) not sure if I'm the only one who is finds this fix or update important?!

I'm running into several issues with the new version, most appear to be css/javascript errors. I can't add people to a project, the drop-down menu doesn't appear when I click on the projects icon on the top navigation bar. I've tried the new installation on Safari/Firefox/Chrome/IE and no luck. This is on Vista. Please help. Thank you.

@Mark:

We do not discuss upcoming features or timeframes, but one thing is for sure - something like that never gets added to x.x.x version. These versions are for bug fixes and small enhancements. We keep new features for bigger releases that have proper beta testing period.

@mohonrim:

It is possible that you did not properly upgrade /public/assets folder. Please delete /public/assets folder (backup themes if you have any custom themes) and than re-upload it from installation package. When done, force refresh the page (Ctrl + F5 on Windows or Cmd + R on Mac while viewing any of activeCollab pages). That should fix it.

Hi there,

I've just upgraded to 2.1.2 but I'm still experiencing the scroll bug where the comment field is enlarged on scrolling down. It's been tested on Safari 4 on a Mac and in Chrome 2 on a PC.
I've updated files twice and tried clearing the folders on beforehand but still no luck and also force refreshed.

Hi,

I can confirm what Retouch says. The issue with safari 4 is still present.
