Hey guys - firstly, I am SOOO impressed with the Invoicing module in the AC2.2 beta released last week. I've been playing around with it today and it's seriously impressive!
At the moment I've found that you can create an invoice by either:
- "Create Invoice" link on ticket details page (projects/#/tickets/#)
- "Create Invoice" link on time report page (time/#)
- "Create Invoice" link on the invoices page (/invoices)
But I can't find an option to manually select time entries and create an invoice from the selection? Have I missed something?
I was expecting a "Create invoice" option in the 'With Selected' drop down box on the /projects/#/time page, but there's not :(
I know its beta still, but I think an option to manually select time entries and create an invoice would be super :)
I noticed there are no Roles to control access to the Invoicing Module on a project level - Currently you can set a System Role for Invoicing (can_manage_invoices : yes/no) but for us we'd like project level roles too (invoices : No Access/Has Access/and Can Create/and Can Manage)
EDIT: OR, if 'can_see_invoice : yes/no' is added to System Roles that would work too :)
System does not add Invoices to the projects. Only company managers (set with manage_company_details system role permission) can access the invoices for their own company.
Ah ok - I'm starting to get it. We need to write somewhere that 'manage_company_details : yes/no' also includes 'view invoice' privileges ;)
More feedback:
- I noticed when you go to issue an invoice and select 'send email to client', users with Client Company Member role are also listed. - Not a big deal for me but logically they shouldn't be in the list if they're not supposed to see invoices normally.
- on issue page (/invoices/#/issue) the page title is "Issue Issue" - should be just "Issue" or "Issue Invoice"...?
- "Add from template" option when creating/editing an invoice is really good, but the list cuts off long items - for example, "Website Maintenance (Bronze)" becomes "Website Maintenance (Bron..." in the list. I think a much wider list would be useful, or at least have full text displayed in alt or title tags to read on hover
- It would be great to have "Invoices" as a search option to the search tool (ie, so you could quickly find invoices by entering an invoice number). :)
edit: Changed subject of thread as I'm just listing all types of feedback for the Invoices module.
- After an invoice is issued you can't edit the 'Our comment' text field. It would be good if that could still be editable as we would use it to update notes/comments on each invoice.
- In the table list of invoices (/invoices ), the figure in the 'total' column does not include the tax.
