A possible bug in Overdue Invoices calculation on the Dashboard - see attached image - There are 3 overdue invoices but in sidebar it is marked as only 1 overdue.
Button in menu bar, tells you, as administrator of activeCollab, how much are there overdue invoices that are issued to all companies. Link in sidebar tells you how much invoices are overdue, and issued to your company. Are there invoices issued to your company?
Hey Goran - I thought that was how it should work. I checked and there are no invoices issued to my company, but I did have one in the draft category. I canceled this draft invoice but i've still got '1 overdue invoice' showing in the sidebar. =/
The invoice module look promising, actually this could be the most important feature for us. I just don't get how I can use it efficiently. Here is what I want to do:
My basic set-up is that I have companie created and the companies have people. I am admin of the company "SUPERMETRIC" (our name). No I have time tracked under a project for company "CLIENTFIRM". Obviously I am neither Company Manager nor Admin of that company which means I can't see a link to invoices from within the time tracking module.
Question: how can I create an invoice from time records within a client project that are marked "billable" and have not yet been ticked off?
I am willing to put in some tweaking if required but that would be the one great feature for me.
Can you use time reports (Time button in the toolbar and Reports button in Time sections of projects)? Invoices can be created based on results of time reports so you can try that. Link for creating an invoice based on time report is available at the bottom of the report, next to Export CSV link.
Yeah, that totally works! When you click on TIME you get the listing and I didn't get that you need to create a report. But I created one (billable but not yet billed) and it's pretty much what I need. 2 more comments/ starnge things:
1. The 5 items of the client project time tracking show up as one lump sum on the invoice (instead of itemized as on the report)
2. The client on the invoice is always SUPERMETRIC (us) and not the actual client company the project belonged to.
Anything I am doing wrong again or a limitation of the current beta?
Thanks for your great support.................Olaf
