Calendar and Tasks iPhone Sync

Hello,
is there a way to Sync the Calendar and the Tasks to an iPhone.

The Web Interface is not good enough for me.
The best thing would be a Task list that I could edit from the road.

Maybe there is an Ical App or something for the iPhone that can handle this!?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Dino

Hi Dino,

You can subscribe to one of activeCollab's iCalendar feeds with iCalendar on your Mac and that have that information synced with your iPhone?

Please note that iCalendar feeds are read only - you can only import the data from it, but you can't post or modify it from within calendar application. To make the changes, you'll need to log into activeCollab web interface and make the changes.

Hello Ilija,
the Problem is that I have a Windows PC with Outlook :-(

Can iPhone sync with Outlook in any way? I haven't heard of such support (still, I haven't used Outlook for a couple of years now).

On Windows, you use iTunes to provide data sync with the phone. iTunes can't import iCalendar feeds alone and on Mac it builds on top of iCal to provide the synchronization between calendars and the phone.

I use a Exchange Server. Maybe there is a way to get the Data to Exchange?

Is there any posibility to use the Data in 2 ways, so that I can add and finish tasks without login on to the Project Management?

The annoying thing is that if I use activecollab on the Phone I am logged out on my Pc and the other way round, so I don't have a chance to stay logged in and it is no option to enter my user data every time I use activecollab.

If Exchange supports iCalendar feeds (they are industry standard for sharing calendar information), then there should be no problems. Please note that iCalendar feeds that activeCollab publishes are read only - there's no way around that.

If you need read, as well as write access, you can use mobile interface (supports comments and task completion, but not other write operation), or full web interface (it works quite well on iPhone and supports all read / write operations).
