I've attached a timing application we use internally. It needs a ton of work (and I can't get auto-updates working 100%) but I figure I might as well put it out there to see what ya'll think.

The screen is my whole screen rather than just the app because you have to see it in context to enjoy it.. and i have a cool desktop image =)

Support will be very limited for the time being as this app is really only used internally for us right now. That also means I won't be able to add many features to it for the foreseeable future =(

Please test it out a bit to learn how it works (since we have no real manual) before you use it for real tasks. I'm sure everyone will get it in 10 seconds though! Just have patience as it's not the fastest of apps!

Thanks everyone!

Hi Taylor,

The concept of a bar on top of the page is really neat and the app looks really nice visually.

I had a problem with having the system load information from my test activeCollab installation. Which version do you use the app with? What type of URL-s do you use (api.php ones, or old way of preparing URL-s)?

we are using 2.2.1, but we had it working before that update. We are accessing URL's like this:

{{url}}/api.php?token={{token}}&path_info={{path}}

Is there a better way to do it?

Nope, that's the best way. I just asked to see why I'm having problems with my local installation. I'll do some additional tests when I get back from a vacation :)

Thanks for sharing!

Gave your lfTimer timing air app a test drive today and it's really quite good! Love the 'bar' styled layout and the drop down/fly-out projects/tickets/tasks is just awesome.

Only 2 requests:

- Add an 'always on top' option
- Ability to post time to a 'Project'

Apart from that it's just great - congrats and well done!

I tried this as well and am with Leon on loving the "bar" layout. I believe it's easy to use and keeps user focused.

The time tracking / time card thing did not quite work for me. The timer worked, but when I chose to post the time card, it did not reflect the elapsed time.

I am sure there are rough edges to this, but this is a great beginning.

Keep it up!

Worked fine here, everything was correct (besides not being able to post time to projects, which is available through aC directly).

What about adding support for profiles? It would be useful for freelancers, for example. With profiles they would be able to quickly shift between different employers (aC setups) and to avoid copy-pasting URLs and tokens ;) Just a suggestion since I don't know whether someone will ask for that at all.

However, there was an issue when I wanted to connect to aC setup whose URL included a space character. Entering "%20" instead of the space didn't work either :)

Awesome concept....but not ready yet.

It didn't pull up all of the tasks and it hangs when posting time to the AC installation.

Would LOVE to see this mature!

Thanks for contributing!!

Hey MichaelMichael,

In the settings, make sure "My Stuff Only" is check only if you want it... otherwise you will only see things you are only subscribed to.

And by hand, do you mean actually locks up or seems to site forever?

This is an awesome app. Love it! The only problem I'm having is that it doesn't seem to post time to Tasks... only tickets. I use the tasks way more than I use tickets. I guess I'll wait until this is fixed to really start using this. Thanks!
