Administrator log file?

Is there any way to view the log of activity during a day? It would be excellent, as an administrator, to view activity and search for:
-people who assigned other people to projects (if they have that ability)
-company users assigned to projects

Things like that.
If there is the ability currently, please let me know.

System currently does not log actions such is user being added or removed to the project so that data is not available for future reference.

Is this a feature that could be turned on in a future release? It is highly valuable from a large company perspective.
