Hi,

I noticed that when replying to an email notification about a new discussion,
the system was creating the comment correctly but with unwanted whitespace (lots of new lines)

Also, as i include previous email content when i reply to an email, i get the history of the discussion in the email and then the comment created has them all... hmmm don't know if i am clear.

Let's say I have a discussion with 3 or 4 posts, i reply to a comment by email and then, the comment created will have the 3 or 4 previous comments + my new comment.

This is kinda annoying.

Is there a way to suppress this history when replying to an email notification ?

thank you for your support

What you can do is to remove all quoted content from email message when you post a reply - it's email client that adds history to the message, not activeCollab.

Can you please tell us which email client do you use? Do you use plain text or HTML messages? If you are using HTML, swhiching to plain text will most probably help so you might want to give it a try.

Thank you for your reply.

I thought the :
-- REPLY ABOVE THIS LINE --

was acting like an indicator to AC telling him to delete the rest of the message (discussion history which is below the string).

It can be a good idea to implement in next releases ?

"-- REPLY ABOVE THIS LINE --" is just indicative, to let people know where is the best place to post their message when they are replying. activeCollab keeps full replies in their original state and hides quoted content automatically.
