I have the incoming email function and replies set up on my aC installation, and it works fine.
However, I have a clarification request, and possible a feature request, depending on the response.
Given: aC is configured to accept emails from any outside email address, and emails directed to "support@mysite.com" get imported into aC as a ticket.
User "fred@gmail.com" sends an email to "support@mysite.com". The email is properly imported into a ticket, and aC users that are a part of that ticket's project get notified via email.
Good so far.
aC users can then reply to the email they get via the system, reply, and the replies are inserted into the ticket.
Also good.
However...
I would expect (and hope) the replies to the ticket would notify the original ticket poster (fred@gmail.com). In my installation, fred never gets an update, regardless of whether the response is via email or in the aC console.
Clarification request: Does aC send out ticket updates to the ticket filer when reponses are added?
If so, where can I look to discover why my installation isn't doing this?
If not, can it be made to do so via modification or a plugin?

System will send future notifications to the user only if he has an account in activeCollab. If he does not, than he will receive no future notifications about ticket he created.
We'll consider that feature for upcoming releases, but currently there is no modification or module that will enable such notifications, sorry
