Limit display of time in Recent ACtivities display

In our working environment we use time reporting in active collab, but do not want everyone to necessarily see the time reports for other users.

Is there a way to show only time reports in "Recent ACtivities" for the user logged in, or even just not display the events at all in the "recent activities" area on the home page of active collab?
