Pleasssseee do this as soon as possible! We need it bad. It's not intuitive at all and hits the user in the face with a big mess of scary, intimidating items as soon as they login.

When can we expect a new release of AC that will include this tiny, yet HUGE feature? Hopefully you guys haven't been stumped with this for 4 months now. :D

Seriously, though ... when can we expect a new release?

There's no due date set for the next big update, but it will be as big as activeCollab 1.1 and 2 were. Such releases take time and activeCollab grew significantly since v1 so we are talking months here, not weeks or days. There will be bug fix releases in 2.3 branch, but no new features will be added.

Ilija - the topic covered in this thread is a major usability issue, as many people here have agreed. I've basically stopped having my clients even log into aC because this issue involves WAY too much explanation to get clients to their project.

Hopefully the aC development will become more nimble as time progresses and the release schedule won't be driven by which month has the largest number of expiring support contracts (oh ... did I just say that?). If I were you guys, I'd push this one feature out in an update since it makes the product essentially useless and confusing to many of your customers customers.

Don't set your goals too high for each release, or it will become like Duke Nukem Forever. Focus on a certain number of bugs and new features that allow you to have a new minor release every 2 to 4 months. Just my $0.02.
