I'm out of town until next week, but I'll try to get you a how-to when I get back. We're working on a heavily modified core, so there may be some extra cruft to sort through.

Thanks everyone. All good solutions. for now I think we will try the milestones workflow solution wei suggested, although the planning module looks very compelling.

The way we are doing is to set up milestones in a project, and milestones are named such as "In Progress", "Hold", "Complete", etc. When a ticket is progressing, it is moved from one milestone to another.

Not sure if this is what you want, but we've made it so that only users with the can_see_private_objects permission can complete a ticket. Other users can only set a ticket's status to 'Approved'. It was a relatively easy mod. Let me know if you're interested and I'll get a diff for you.

FYI, Planning module includes workflow statuses for tickets. The default statuses are New, Assigned, Acknowledged, Feedback, Resolved, Closed - and you can add your own too. Planning module also allows you to define workflow rules - which status is available at which stage.

We also include ticket module hacks with Planning module that allow you to change workflow status quickly - either singly or in batch.

I believe Planning module can serve your purpose. It's not free, but worth every penny!

In the past, some people told in various discussions that they use categories or tags for that - when something is done, they just move it in For Review category or tag is as For Review.

Hello,
I have been using activecollab now for a while, and our workflow is such that when a ticket is completed, a project manager or QA person should review the ticket to make sure it was completed correctly.

I would like to be able to mark tickets as "ready fore review" This may be a feature request, but i thought maybe other people have come across a clever way of accomplishing this in activecollab.

anyone have any thoughts?
