Sorry, there is currently no way to have system automatically assign tasks to specific person when project is created from a template, or to batch re-assign tasks. Project people and assignment data is copied directly from the template.

going on with the evaluation of aC, I'm struggling with tasks assignements:
1. I created projects templates with no tasks assigned to anybody. There are 4 milestones and about 40 tasks (filed under appropriate taskslists).
2. I set up a new project, using this project template
3. Currently, if I want to assign tasks to a user, I have to edit tasks one by one and select him as an "Assignee".
4. Assignment page is really helpfull to keep up to date with upcoming tasks, so we need this functionnality (and thus we need to assign tasks to staff people)

In our setup (we are a small company), most of the time the responsible of the project will be assigned to all tasks. The problem is, depending on the project, the responsible is different. This is why we can't assign tasks directly in the project template.

My questions are simple: each time we create a new project, do we have to crawl into the whole task tree to assign tasks to people manually (that's a lot of mouse clicks...)? Or is there a batch process this speed up this operation (for instance: select an option to force tasks assignments for project/milestone according to project/milestone responsible)?
