We just released this hack. Read more about acHack - Copy Pages and Discussions with Project

BTW, that page also has a tutorial video on how to create and use project templates to bring structure, organization and best practices to your projects.

Oh then the solution is easy! We created a hack for activeCollab that will copy pages and discussions when you create a new project from template.

So you create a "template" project, setup all pages with questions / content you want. Then use this template project to create a new project and the new project too will have the same pages created.

This is a missing functionality in activeCollab and we created a hack to add it.

We will make the hack live in a few days. I will post here when we make it live.

Thanks for the recommendation. I attempted to do that when we first started using AC. The only issue was, we couldn't make the page a part of a template that could be ready to use when a new job is started. Therefore, we would have to copy and paste a document into a new page at the creation of the job.

Do you have any suggestions on how to have the page load with each new job?

Till the time you create a module for this, you may want to use Pages functionality. We use pages for design questionnaire and other requirements gathering. The client could edit them to add more information and they are versioned. Subscriptions are also possible.

Surely, what you describe has its advantages. But if you want something stop-gap, Pages could do the trick.

Looking for someone to build a design brief module for AC. Basically, I want collapsible panels for various topic headers (i.e. one panel for design, one for engineering, fulfillment...). Under each topic would be questions/entry boxes. The topic headers and the questions under them should be customized at the admin level (allowing for new topics/questions to be easily added).

Optional Features:
Subscribe (notify when brief is updated)
Add questions on the fly (only to specific project)
Multiply briefs per job
Deactivate questions that are N/A on a specific job (check box toggle)
