From looking at the docs for TinyMCE, it appears that it could be a simple end-user adjustment of some config files. You might not need to reengineer ActiveCollab at all, just provide an FAQ for activating it.

A full installation of TinyMCE allows for this with a couple more buttons on the toolbar. Is there any chance we can have the option to enable tables within the body of a ticket text? It would be very helpful. There are some things that just don't make sense as a bulleted list and need to be in table format.
