Any news on this one?

It's very awkward: since tabs and spaces are stripped even off the 'preformatted' style, making anything table-ish is impossible.

Hi Ilija
putting my vote in behind a decent text editor with table support, be that your internal one or the TinyMCE (which, as a web developer, is an easily maintainable option). Tables are one of the few options I'm really missing.

Thanks for your time!

Hello,

Table support is something that we are considering for one of the upcoming releases, but we do not have any solid plans at the moment. TinyMCE is not going to be part of activeCollab 3 (we're going with custom, simpler and lighter editor).

Ilija: any update on possibly including the full TinyMCE editor in future versions? You could leave everything disabled, but package the files so that someone could just go and edit a config file and activate TinyMCE features such as tables (should they choose). We've been limping along for 10 months and would love this feature!

The way we use TinyMCE is not exact "by the book" - we don't distribute full package (themes, plugins, languages etc), we don't distribute or use plugins, we use our own dialogs instead of built in ones etc. Enabling this may be a simple adjustment, but it also may be much more than that...

Thank you for consideration, Ilija. From looking at the docs for TinyMCE, it appears that it could be a simple end-user adjustment of some config files. You might not need to reengineer ActiveCollab at all, just provide an FAQ for activating it.

In the body of a ticket, it is sometimes very useful to have simple table functionality. A full installation of TinyMCE allows for this with a couple more buttons on the toolbar. Is there any chance we can have the option to enable tables within the body of a ticket text? It would be very helpful. There are some things that just don't make sense as a bulleted list and need to be in table format.
