We're an organization that is heavily MS-Exchange based for our email, as are most of our clients. As such, POP3 and IMAP mailbox implementations are considered as less secure and we have IT policies in place which have shut off those ports in our firewall, making the Inbound Mail functionality useless. Unfortunately we continue to desire the functionality that Inbound Mail provides, but just need a different implementation.
If aC could implement a connection for MAPI server types in the Incoming Mail, that would help us substantially.
For all the other clients out there who's companies run MS Exchange for their mail system, this would be a tremendous support, so please add your name to this request.
Could you use stunnel to create an SSL encrypted IMAP tunnel from your aC server to your Exchange server?
We had a similar issue when deploying Exchange, and we use stunnel to connect to SSL-enabled POP3 boxes (which also use stunnel to enforce strong ciphers)
