Hey MV (and JayC),

My firm has created what we feel is a powerful web-based association management platform that handles your web site and many of the business functions of an organization--all out of one centralized system. http://www.org-central.com.

Your post caught my eye because, as we speak, we are doing some pretty cool stuff connecting the core strengths of our system: web site content management, CRM, event management, RSVPs, photos and videos, payments, social media, etc. with Active Collab and all it does well.

I'd be happy to share with you where we are going with all this. And I'd love to get your insight on how you run your association--what's working and what's not.

Not looking to sell you anything--to me it's more about comparing notes and getting some new perspective. We're in NYC. Feel free to drop me a line anytime if you want to chat.

Regards,

Dear Sir,

I recently started using activeCollab and I have really made a strong commitment to using activeCollab as a daily working tool within our Company (Association) for helpdesk.

What I miss for the moment in activeCollab is CRM features. I can have someone (young guy) working on this for a couple of months as of January. Would you be so kind to help me with information on:

-) howto technically
-) usefull features besides the one we have in mind... (not yet fully described, will follow later)

Besides this, I would also really like to extend the use also for our activities (we are a lobbying association that organises meetings with EU officials to discuss technical matters). Internally we have 40 people working, and 1500-2000 members who collaborate). Therefore I have some additional questions:

-) would it be possible to make the wording of entities you use configurable? e.g. "tickets" become "issues", "projects" become" "dossiers"... this would make your product flexible to be used in other contexts!

-) we use blogs to keep track of our work. it would be nioce to have blogs as entities in your product

-) meeting management is very important. how could this be done?

-) we organise alsos event from time to time, where we send invitations, people have to subscribe...
...

Other stuff will follow, this is just a first idea!

I have the resources, so budget is no issue.
