All day long I get email notifications as clients send me bug reports and change requests. I can't get to everything right away, but I still want my clients to know that their message has been received and that I will be taking action on it. The only way to do that right now is to reply to the message and tell them so, ie, "Thanks Joe, I will look at this problem as soon as possible." This severely clutters up my tickets and makes it difficult to find things later on.

It would be cool if there was a way of manually acknowledging receipt of a message so that the client knows I'm alive and that their message hasn't gone into a black hole, while saving me from having to clutter up my tickets with a lot of "okay, thanks" comments.
