    <description><![CDATA[<p>I am still not clear on this and other questions being merged into my thread are confusing me, can someone please tell me how I can find out how to backup my project management system? I can view my pms folder on my FTP however there is no folder that says backup, is that what I should be lookin gfor?</p>]]></description>

Check following things:<br />
<br />
1. You have <a href="http://www.activecollab.com/docs/manuals/admin/configuration/automatic-data-backup" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Backup module</a> installed.<br />
2. You have <a href="http://www.activecollab.com/docs/manuals/admin/configuration/scheduled-tasks" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Scheduled Tasks</a> configured and they run properly.<br />
3. There's /backup folder in /work folder and PHP is able to write inside of it.<br />
<br />
System will work properly only if these conditions are met. Note that backup is done on daily event, so system will not automatically create first backup when you install the module - daily event will need to be triggered for first backup to be created.</p>]]></description>

    <description><![CDATA[<p>Path where backup module creates backups is not configurable. What you can do is write your own command line script that periodically moves backups from /work/backup to other location.</p>]]></description>

Where your activeCollab is installed depends on your web server and how it's configured (there's no single place where it can be installed). You can search for ActiveCollab.class.php file for example to see where it is.</p>]]></description>
