Nice to hear that, I think these requirements aren't trouble for people as most of servers are now with PHP 5.2 and mysql 4.1 also about the IE6 since MS is not supporting it I don't see a reason to still keep using it as windows automatically propose update to the latest IE version.

Some JS libs that will warn users who using IE6 bellow:

- IE6 Update
- ie6-upgrade-warning
- sevenup

I know that the policy of your company is not to reveal new features on future updates and release dates but could you give us a sneak peak of what we should expect from activeCollab 3 and roughly when will be released (for example before summer, after summer, in duration of summer...)?

Just to announce that in activeCollab 3 we'll bump system requirements a bit:

1. PHP4 support will no longer be provided. You'll need to have PHP5, where PHP 5.0.x will be considered deprecated and PHP 5.1 and later recommended.

2. System will require MySQL 4.1 or later due to Unicode support and some pretty basic language features that are not available in older versions.

3. Internet Explorer 6 will not be one of the browsers that we test interface with. If something works, than great, but we'll officially support only IE7 and later.

4. Update (Nov 9th, 2010): Source module will require Subversion PHP extension. Command line SVN client wrapper will be removed and no longer developed, but Source module's engine system is extensible so third parties will be able to implement such wrapper (as well as engines for other version control systems).

More info is available here.

There is no due date set for activeCollab 3 release, but we are talking months, not weeks or days, so that gives you more than enough time to upgrade your platform.
