Would be nice for sender of ticket to Incoming Mail to receive a confirmation that ticket has been created successfully or why it was not created.

Similar to my feature request of submitter beeing subscribed even if not member of the system.

+1 - I like this idea too, it will also serve as a gentle reminder to move this ticket to the right location if you've got an "Incoming" project like we do for all new items created by incoming emails.

Any updates on this suggestion? I think it's a great suggestion and have appreciated this feature when working with other project management systems. I've searched the forum quite a bit and do not see anything else pertaining to his particular issue.

At first I thought I could work around not having this feature by creating an auto-reply message for the incoming email addressed assigned to activeCollab but then I realized that this would be counterproductive since I need my clients to be able to receive a confirmation email and be able to reply to that email so that their replies are associated with the initial ticket.

Any updates would be very helpful. Thanks!

What we would need is just that sender is automatically added to Subscribers.

And it would also be great if you could add a person as owner of the ticket by adding that one as CC or such.

And maby, by putting a number (+2, +1, 0, -1, -2) at the beginning of the topic, you could set the priority?

Hello Friends,

We have achieved this functionality of sending out the confirmation email once a ticket has been created from email. On the other hand, we have developed an internal system too where you can send email to user in a standard manner i.e. TO, CC and BCC and it is added automatically to comments as well.

We are doing BETA testings of this system and will release as soon as it is available for public use. Please contact us if you are interested in BETA testing.

Few added notes:
1. @mitja - our system does it that a sender becomes part of subscriber
2. @karl.lettenstrom - in our approach, project leader becomes the default responsible person for the ticket and rest of the project members are also assigned as a default system developed by us
3. We have an e-mail template system for it so you can always change the text as you want from admin panel and available variables can be used in the template :)

We have developed good options but we will be doing the first release with limited options and then gradually we will adding more points in upcoming releases.
