If you wish to test, just to see how activeCollab reads and import email messages, you can trigger frequently task manually (link is available on Administration > Scheduled Tasks page).

I'm trying out the free version as i want to use ac at my new company. It would be great to centralize e-mail conversations in to discussion as you guys are telling in the tour.

I just can't seem to find how, is it because we have a trial version this doesn't work?
