I've built a wordpress widget to display the login form as a widget in Wordpress. But I'd like to take it a step further. I've got wordpress installed on the root of our domain, and Activecollab as a subdomain (project.domain). I'd like to add the feature of the widget that if you are logged in, showing the latest AC dashboard entries (and a link to activecollab). Doing this with the API interface would require the API key for every user.

I was thinking that if I had the cookie from ActiveCollab be for the whole domain (instead of just project.domain), I may be able to pull in the 5 latest entries for the user and display them from WP. I can edit the AC code to make the cookie more general to the whole domain, but then don't quite know how to access the data? Curl Calls, is there an easier way? Perhaps just using the rss functions inside AC?

Any ideas on how to accomplish this? I'm kind of stumped on the next step, if this is even possible.
