Hi,

When trying to install the timer, I am getting a warning from Kaspersky (see attached)

Should I allow the installation to proceed or is there a problem?

Sounds like Kaspersky (not my favourite anti-virus program) is mistaking some code in the timer as malicious.

I would allow the install to progress. I use Microsoft's Security Essentials program and it didn't complain.

Hello,

This is a known issue with Kaspersky (check this topic for original report and resolution). Scan the package with other anti-virus and anti-malware software, and they will not report any problems (correct answer btw - activeCollab Timer does not contain malicious code).

We are working on getting activeCollab Timer whitelisted by Kaspersky, but until than, it may report some issues in specific scan modes.

It does take some time for certain anti-virus programs to whitelist software which is highly annoying when they take their time. :)

Ilija, I made basically a feature request above, is there somewhere else I should be posting feature requests? Are you using a software code tracking service or is my posting fine.

(PS: Thanks for removing the duplicate! Chrome crashed right after I clicked Post reply.)

Thank you for a suggestion. There's no "official" way to request a feature - you post it on the forum, as a comment or new topic, or send it to our support team and that's it.

Love the time. The refresh takes an awfully long time though. Having to do it anytime a new task is added is kind of a pain. Is there any way to speed up the refresh, or make it automatic?

Thanks.

Simon

Hello Simon,

Sorry, currently there's no way to speed up refresh or make it automatic. It's working as fast as current activeCollab API allows. Version for activeCollab 3 (when it gets out), will be much much faster, but for the first couple of releases - this is as fast as it can be (system needs to request details for every project and every ticket and checklist in it, and it can take quite a bit of time).

Thats too bad. It currently takes me about 2.5 min now for me to to an refresh.

Something else I was thinking would be handy, would be (possibly optionally) showing the project name in the timer list. I can have 3 or 4 projects on the go with similar tasks, quickly being able to identify which project they are from would be helpful.

...following on that, if you don't give a ticket a description, it shows as a blank itme in the list. It would be handy if it defaulted to the subject of the task.

Is there any hope for a Linux version?
