Hey Brian --- I hear you on the confusion.... I would recommend to solve the problem by uploading your own logo and give AC a name for your clients. We have found when implementing AC it's always great to decide on a name for it within your organization and then keep the reference consistent. For instance, we refer to it as Dashboard in our company and one group we've coached on setup and workflow for AC already had a "Dashboard" so we came up with the name "HQ" obviously as in Head Quarters and we uploaded a special logo that had their name and HQ at the end and in all the documentation we used HQ to refer to it. This works well to keep communication clear and establishes AC's role in the company too.

Here's the instructions to upload your own logo -- http://www.activecollab.com/forums/topic/4674/

I will add one thing to this, you can also use a PNG file and just rename it to .gif if your logo is in PNG format -- the browser figures it out and displays it just fine.

Hope that helps.

Hello Brian,

Thanks for letting us know that people are interpreting the logo differently.

While some people may get confused by the logo, that's not enough of a reason for us to change it. We really like it like this, and most of the people who know the name of the product simply dont get confused.

I know that the activeCollab logo that appears in the top-left of the application is supposed to be the letters "a" and "c" next to each other. My clients, however, do not read it that way. They see "O" and "C". When they talk to me about using activeCollab, they refer to it as "the OC". This is with multiple clients, who don't know each other.
