Hi,

I am referring to the "installer" and "upgrade" folders within "public" folder of activeCollab source. Once you set up the basics - db & writable folders essentially, install is a breeze. Upgrade is easy too - just login and that's all.

Here's a video we did that explains how to upgrade your activeCollab with minimal downtime.

activeCollab's install / upgrade scripts are very well done actually. They do everything that can be automated. Have you checked them? You can't obviously expect a web app to know your db settings!

Apps Magnet offers an AC upgrade service. We cover activeCollab and all our products in the upgrade - apart from some others.

We are working on a version that will make the whole upgrade process a lot easier..

Will provide more info when we have something concrete.. But just wanted to offer my two cents...

Would be nice to see an install/upgrade script in the near future. Come on guys, its not that difficult to do something like this. Its sysadmin basics...

Even your docs are not correct/complete regarding upgrade. Maybe you could add some hints about overwriting custom themes or translations when somebody follows your upgrade instructions.

This is a long outstanding and annoying issue...
