I'm hoping that I can figure out to hack 0.71 (or have it included in 1.0) that Textile will also be available for Tasks. This is particularly important for putting website links in tasks (such as "Approve Mockup at http://www.etc....") so that clients (read: normal non-techie people) can just click on them.

Please keep Textile, and upgrade to 2.0. And add a preview button for messages, task or nay other that use textarea. It will improve usability in many ways or one way :D

@Ilija: The forum is very fast -- nice job! (And thanks for all your work on aC. I just installed it and it's working like a champ. Can't wait to see how it evolves!)

Please keep Textile! BBCode is the spawn of Satan.

when you are working on the forum redesign: actually you will be redireted to the home page after log-in.

Can you please change that to the last page you were before log-in (this will be nice when you use a bookmark to the forum and save you some clicks to return to the forum).

Good idea, I'd love to see that as well...

Or something like that :) This is just me thinking out loud.

Ilija:
Avatars and timezone settings will be added when I find some time to work on it. The most important thing is that everything is working... We'll work on the details later on.

Thanks for clearing this up, I was just wondering too...

Especially the "my subscribed threads"-page, e-mail notifications and the forum search function are the features that I'm missing the most.

But as with other optimizations here before, I'm waiting patiently and believe in your vision of creating an open source community around aC. I like your idea of integrating the different sections into one page, one can feel "a great whole" coming up step by step.

power to you dude,

Rolando:
BTW: the time stamp is wrong and I can't find any option to set the time zone (no showstopper but somewhat annoying)

Yeah, I know. Avatars and timezone settings will be added when I find some time to work on it. The most important thing is that everything is working... We'll work on the details later on.

Mil:
Hah, you coded your own forum software in between working on ac and redeveloping the site?!

Making the forum is part of the website development. User database and accumulated content are stuff that needed to be integrated with the website. Other just followed...

Mil:
Also, if we're going for Textile in aC, why not keep it consistent and have the formatting in the board done by Textile as well?

I've left UBB because there is >4000 UBB coded messages in the old database. Maybe I write a script that will "re-code" UBB to textile or cache old posts as HTML. We'll see.

Btw, I think that most users feel UBB natural for forums. Maybe Textile will confuse them? Other possibility is to kill Textile and use limited UBB in the comments too. Its all about consistency...
