Another new app in the increasingly crowded project-management space is goplan. It seems to be another pay-to-use solution ala basecamp, but from the screenshots and UI discussion on their blog it looks quite polished. I like the calendar implementation, and it's visually very distinctive.
I really like the professional attitude of the tool (even though it is a little bit too web2.0ish for my taste).
What I really like (as seen in the screenshots) is the little "Post-It" help tips and the general workflow/layout seems to be very straight forward. The project calendar looks also nice.
I just applied for the public beta and we will see how it "feels" in reality.
There are two things as a lesson of this: we have to provide a clear and simple interface (keep it simple and extensible by the plug-ins) and very nice templates "out of the box".
