Speicher 210, situated in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (Germany), is a small and highly effective company specialized in IT project management. Conceived in general terms we advise companies regarding individual IT solutions and organize, coordinate, and control the services of various ITC suppliers. This involves juggling deadlines, e-mails, and documents as Speicher 210 takes care that your information and wishes arrive at their destination. Speicher 210 not only keeps track of the agreed project milestones, but also of the budget. We supply what you require and ensure what others are only talking about: best price for best quality.

How did you find out about activeCollab? What were your first impressions?

The Speicher 210-team was looking for a project management tool that completely goes with its requirements… sharing documents in real-time, discussing and assigning tasks, having the opportunity to work in close collaboration with clients and suppliers… and found activeCollab. We are using activeCollab several years now, and started with the Open source Version. ActiveCollab has been easy to use from the beginning on. You do not need to study a weighty tome before you start working with it and our Clients easy adopt it. ActiveCollab as a project management tool is well structured and self-explanatory.

How were you managing projects before activeCollab? Email, pen and paper, another project management tool?

We were managing our projects by Email and other software. Thus exchanging files, discussing projects and tasks, keeping track of all relevant things has caused time loss - juggling thousands of e-mails, different file formats saved somewhere on the server or on your computer. In the worst case you spend your time converting files, so that others can use them.

How did activeCollab help you improve your team's collaboration? What are the tools you use the most? If you were asked to pick one "killer feature" which one would it be?

Speicher 210 counts on activeCollab because it creates a high degree of transparency. Our clients are not only situated in Germany, but also overseas. That is also a reason why we are using activeCollab as an interface to customers for sharing common used project files, milestones and checklists. Thus our customers are informed about the state of affairs at any time. With the help of activeCollab Speicher 210 keeps its IT-projects under control and we are always getting notified if something happens.

What do coworkers think? How have they adjusted to activeCollab?

Most of our clients and coworkers already have experience with other project management tools. In their opinion activeCollab is an excellent tool for close collaboration. Sharing all relevant information has not been that easy before. activeCollab gives us the opportunity to share information real-time and thatʼs the most important thing to us. Speicher 210 also provides support to companies and clients regarding installation, configuration and customization of activeCollab.
