Tell us more about you, your company and what do you do?

I'm the creative director at Depthskins Design Studio a small multi-disciplinary studio in the areas of web, print, identity & branding. I'm responsible for the creative aspect of projects as well as managing them and keeping everything on track.

How did you find out about activeCollab? What were your first impressions?

I came across activeCollab through discussions on Linkedin about the best project management tools. When I finally give aC a try I wondered what's all the rave about Basecamp about when apps like these exist?

How were you managing projects before activeCollab? Email, pen and paper, another project management tool?

I've come a long way with selection of project management tools using from Basecamp to 5pmweb and the ones in between I don't remember of. Other project management tools were either not flexible or didn't offer enough features to justify their monthly cost. I don't like the idea of paying for space on someone else's server when I've got gigabytes of it on my own. This is why activeCollab is attractive because of the flexibility and control I get through it. In one project management tool I have a limitation on how many people I can have, not with aC. I can add the whole world if I wanted. I love that flexibility.

How did activeCollab help you improve your team's collaboration? What are the tools you use the most? If you were asked to pick one "killer feature" which one would it be?

activeCollab has greatly improved the communication among the team, allowing everyone to be in the loop and keep things on track. As a result, we work faster and more efficient. Let's not forget it helps to get the client involved and updated. The most used tool on aC would be discussions but with the new version, it's now Tickets which I find incredibly useful for organization. That's my killer feature. Without aC we'd all be running around like chickens with our head off and digging through emails for tasks.

What do coworkers think? How have they adjusted to activeCollab?

My team loves activeCollab and have adjusted well. They have to because I'm constantly seeking ways to improve project management. My clients also love activeCollab and the reply via email feature is a killer for many clients because some just don't like logging in.

Thank you for your time! Anything you have to add?

Thanks for the interview guys and taking my testimony into account. I love the product, highly recommend it. My only advice for this great tool is keep the useful features coming and constantly improve the usability of the application. In the end, the product will always keep coming out on top.
