Tell us more about you, your companies and what services do you provide?

Superawesome Industries is a small, affordable Web design firm based in Novi Sad, Serbia, focusing on creating awsm user experiences on the Web.

How did you find out about activeCollab? What were your first impressions?

Since activeCollab is the brainchild of my good friend Ilija Studen, I've known about it from the very beginning of the development and have helped test it in all it's versions. In the open source days of aC, things were moving noticeably slower in terms of development, the tool was definitely usable, but also very spartan - quite typical for a free, open source tool.

How were you managing projects before activeCollab? Email, pen and paper, another project management tool?

It was email and *shruggs* phone calls mostly. It's all fine if you are working on one or two projects at a time, but for anything above that - you need some kind of organizational tool that centralizes all operations. To keep your sanity if anything.

How did activeCollab help you improve your team's collaboration? What are the tools you use the most? If you were asked to pick one "killer feature" which one would it be?

activeCollab definitely allowed us to introduce true collaboration to our workflow. It enables everyone to be on top of everything, but also lets them _choose_ what they want to be involved in via subscriptions. We use ticketing the most obviously, and tickets with tasks are definitely a killer feature for us. Time tracking is also a close second, since we do a lot of hourly based work.

What do your clients and coworkers think? How have they adjusted to activeCollab?

Not all of our clients are using it. We use activeCollab mostly internally, there are clients of course, who acknowledge it's benefits and are involved in their projects' development through it, but some are obviously turned off by having to leave the comfort of their beloved Outlook, and that's fine with us. I am happy to know that this problem is already being addressed by the A51 team and I am really excited to see how email integration works out.
