We are closing up beta application to keep our sanity!
Beta applications closed

So we asked you to apply for a beta account... And what happens? Due to the huge amount of applications we've decided to turn activeCollab into an beta sign-up app...

Ok, so we're kidding – but with the whole Web 2.0 feat. beta status going around you can't blame us. :) We were planning to keep the beta sign-up page open until the actual beta kicks off, but because of the overwhelming number of applications and the fact that an actual human being has to go through them – we decided it's time to close the application phase of the beta.

Further instructions about the beta will be posted on the blog and also sent to those of you who applied – so stay tuned. If you have any questions about the activeCollab 1.0 beta program, you should check the FAQ list or ask in the commments if you don't find an answer.

Now it's time to go through all your applications... Thanks for your interest, the extra coffe I'll be buying to stay awake – and see you in beta!

I know this was posted a couple of weeks ago, but is there a release date for 1.0 Pro yet? We’re evaluating project management systems at the moment, and very impressed with ActiveCollab – but need to see the new version before making a decision!

closing the beta applications is understandable… but how about some screen shots or a preview video for those of us who are curious about what it’s like? i’m at the point of needing to make a decision between aC, basecamp, etc VERY soon… so the more info i can get now the better. (and i’m sure this is the case with many others as well)

I applied before the application time closed. But, did not recieve an email. Does that mean I am not in the beta? Will I recieve an email to let me know either way?

Thank you.

@ideapower:

Screenshots, videos that demonstrate most important features of new versions, complete feature list and so on will be posted in due time.

If you need to make the decision soon (and I assume you do) subscribe to our newsletter and go for Basecamp. When activeCollab 1.0 becomes available you will be notified and then you’ll have more data to work with.

Basecamp importer will be provided as a free addon so you will be able to move your data from Basecamp to activeCollab if you decide to go with activeCollab.

@joe:

Nobody got any emails yet.

System will email invitation codes to people. If you don’t receive an email when beta kicks off hold on for a while. We don’t plan to invite all the people at the same time.

@wanderer:

We have more than enough beta application, but you can still send us an email and we’ll add you to the waiting list (no guarantees). Check out this comment.

The 1.0 looks like a great product.
We would like to manage our open source development with it – but there doesn’t seem to be any roadmap… and the last comment in this forum is 3 weeks old…

When will it be available to the public?
